FORREST MINCHINTON

A surfer, who makes his living building surfboards to pay for motorcycles. A two wheeled enthusiast with an unlikely love affair with the desert sparked by his father. The connection with Baja being a paradise for the traveling surfer / dirt biker. 1000 miles of uncharted trails and beaches. A point where the two worlds truly intersect. This sparked a childhood dream to one day race the Baja 1000. Through this, a friendship and mentor was born in the form of Carlin Dunne, whose untimely death left Forrest in search of honouring his fallen teammate.

NIC GARVIN

From age 4 onwards, Nic has been on dirt bikes. Everything in Nic’s life is dedicated to racing and he craves to be a champion. When he’s not on a motorcycle, he’s training children on them. He was introduced to Baja when he watched Robby Bell and Colton Udall in the San Felipe 250 and rode the track the day after the race. For him, Baja represents freedom - and racing through those landscapes in isolation is his happiness. Together with the Colton, Forrest, and Derek he hopes to race through the desert to his best ability and bring a win to the team.

@nicgarvin949

“On race day, we were up at 2am as the race starts at 3am and we followed the team the entire length of the circuit - eventually getting to sleep 25 hrs later, 3am the next day. At that point, you’re running on pure adrenaline”.
